Integration with the Mercury Guardian anti-theft system and built-in redundancy ensures the boat’s security and your ability to access and start your vessel in the event your phone or PIN is lost.
Phone Pairing & Automation
When paired with a smartphone or other compatible mobile device, your vessel automatically powers on when you approach and automatically locks and powers down when you leave.
Integrated Battery Switch Control
When integrated with compatible remote battery switches, the system can automatically turn your boat’s batteries on or off.
Customizable User Experience
Using the Mercury Marine app, you can set the Bluetooth range and autolock timing, create and manage guest PINs for friends or family and adjust security settings and user preferences.

Mercury Keypad
A sleek keypad serves as the primary interface and access point for the system. Simply enter your secure personal PIN to unlock your vessel and start your day on the water.

Smart Buttons
Optional smart buttons integrate directly with the keypad system to control individual engines in multi-engine vessels or remote battery switches.
- Ignition: Helm-mounted buttons can be installed to start each individual engine
- Battery: Buttons mounted off helm can control remote battery switches to power each propulsion battery (no start or crank functionality)

The Mercury Keyless System is designed for flexibility and ease of integration across a wide range of vessel types and power configurations.
- Compatible with all SmartCraft®-capable engines ranging from 75 to 600hp, including Mercury Racing models, and engines equipped with Smart Start
- Suitable for both new boat builds and repower or retrofit projects, the Keyless System can be installed by an OEM boat builder, a Mercury Authorized Dealer or as a DIY installation (depending on technical ability)
- Sold with or without SmartCraft(R) Connect, depending on the vessel's existing setup
