Water separating and sensing fuel filter Kit 8M0157708 features a 10-micron filter to remove performance-robbing water and other contaminants from gasoline for your main mover/propulsion engines and onboard generator. Removing water from fuel helps prevent water from damaging internal components of the fuel system. Designed for Mercury outboards that utilize a boat mounted fuel filter. It can also be used on other outboard, sterndrive or inboards gasoline engines using a boat/remote mounted fuel filter. The kit includes the fuel filter mounting head, filter element, water in fuel sensor, wiring harness and fuel line connection hardware. The wiring harness fits existing Mercury electrical harnesses. This kit is the only one in the industry that meets USCG and ABYC (ABYC H-24) fuel system requiremens. The filter's metal shell is powder coated for corrosion resistance, even in salt-water environments.
