Genuine new factory marine longblocks are available just like the ones used to produce new MerCruiser engines. More than a bare block, these engines feature a coat of Mercury’s tough Phantom Black paint, are primed with Quicksilver Full Synthetic FW-C marine grade oil, spin-tested, and are packaged in a tough weather-proof container to protect it from corrosion and shipping damage. These engines also meet all EPA emission requirements for replacement of newer engines, and can be used in other inboard and sterndrive makes. This is also your source for new 5.7L, 6.2L and 8.2L V8 marine engines exclusive to MerCruiser.
