Mercury reintroduces a full line of Bravo Two aluminum propellers
Feb 13, 2013
Mercury Marine is reintroducing a full line of aluminum propellers for the legendary workhorse Bravo Two sterndrive.
Responding to popular demand, Mercury is reintroducing five pitch sizes in both right- and left-hand rotation. The revived 11, 13, 15, 17 and 25 pitch three-bladed Bravo Two aluminum propellers will join the current lineup of 19, 21 and 23 pitch aluminum propellers currently in production.
“We are pleased we were able to make the necessary investments to bring this product back to market and do it in-house at Mercury’s casting facility in Fond du Lac, Wis.,” said Dirk Bjornstad, category director for Mercury Propellers. “These propellers are investment cast using the same world-class process we use to manufacture our high performance steel products. This product also features MercAlloy, Mercury’s own patented aluminum alloy, for superior strength.”
Bravo Two propellers offer a large blade area for maximum thrust and a beefy design for excellent maneuverability and better holding during turns.
“The Bravo Two continues to be a popular drive choice for heavy applications like houseboats, and work boats and we’re glad to support these boaters with leading OEM quality product,” said Bjornstad.
Aluminum and stainless steel Bravo Two propellers fit all Bravo Two drives and are now available in 11- to 25-pitch in right-hand and left-hand rotations. The reintroduced propellers will be available in April of 2013.
