Mercury dealers top the Boating Industry “Top 100”

Mercury Marine dealers in North America claimed the top 10 positions on Boating Industry magazine’s 2013 Top 100 Dealerships list, and accounted for more than 80 percent of the dealerships on the list.
Boating Industry also named Mercury MerCruiser and Mercury Outboards the No. 1 and No. 2 engine brands, respectively, based on the number of Top 100 dealers that sell the brands.
Mercury dealerships earned 81 of the Top 100 positions on the list, announced in the December issue of Boating Industry, and 17 of the top 20 in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, seven Mercury dealers received special “Best in Class” recognition among nearly 3,500 nominations. Dealerships are chosen and ranked based on customer service, overall business operations, marketing and professionalism.
“The Boating Industry dealership ranking is further evidence that Mercury Marine has the broadest and best dealer network available to boaters,” said Randy Caruana, vice president of sales and marketing at Mercury Marine. “We congratulate our dealers’ hard work at improving their customers’ experience with Mercury products.”
Mercury Marine dealerships also swept the special “Best in Class” awards, including Best Customer Service to Gordy’s Lakefront Marine of Fontana, Wis.; Best Service Department, Woodard Marine, Hydeville, Vt.; Best Digital Strategy, Marine Connection, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Best Boat Show Strategy, Russell Marine, Alexander City, Ala.; Best Industry Advocate, Port Harbor Marine, South Portland, Maine; Best Training Program, Colorado Boat Center, Johnstown, Colo.; and Best Marketing, Buckeye Marine, Bobcaygeon, Ontario, Canada.
